📞 It's a Local Call
A tourist tours cathedrals across Europe — €1,000 to speak to God in Paris, Cologne, and Rome. Then he reaches a tiny chapel in Scotland and gets the same deal for 20 pence. The reason? "Ye're in Scotland now, lad. It's a local call."

与主媒体连续呈现A man is touring the great cathedrals of Europe. He starts at Notre-Dame in Paris and notices a golden telephone on a marble pillar. He asks the bishop what it's for.
"Oui, monsieur. Zat ees a direct line to 'eaven. Pour one thousand Euros, you may speak weeth Dieu."
The man rolls his eyes and moves on.
In Cologne he sees the same thing — a golden phone, another bishop, same answer: a thousand euros to talk to God.
At St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, same deal. The Cardinal: "Si, signore. For one thousand Euro, you cana talka to God."
Utterly disgusted by the markup, he finishes his tour at a tiny stone chapel in Scotland.
There it is again: a golden telephone on a marble pillar. He sighs. "Let me guess — a thousand pounds to talk to God?"
The old priest shakes his head. "Nae, lad. Twenty pence."
"Twenty pence?! Everywhere else in Europe it was a thousand euros. Why so cheap here?"
"Aye — but ye're in Scotland now, lad. It's a local call."
